Spring is finally here. We’re awfully sure your to-do list already feels a mile long, but we have a handful of things that might save you some trouble and keep you comfy in the months to come. The weather is going to start heating up in Royse City and the last thing you want is to discover is that you’re in need of AC repair. Going through this quick checklist now may save you from sweating this summer.

  1. Look at Your Air Filter and Ducts
Swapping your air filter makes it to almost each and every single of our lists of things to check because it's so important and so often left unaddressed. If your air filter is dirty, your system will have to work harder to keep you cozy. This costs you more money and causes more wear and tear which reduces the life and efficiency of your system. Your ducts and registers are a separate piece of the puzzle that is often forgotten as well. While you're spring cleaning, take off the covers from your registers and vacuum inside them. While you have the covers taken off, soak them in mild dish soap, give them a scrub and swap them after they've dried.
  2. Clean Your Outdoor Unit
Keep any outdoor units free of debris such as grass clippings, leaves or plant overgrowth. This debris can clog your system and cause it to decrease its efficiency.
  3. Set Up Your Annual AC Tune-Up
This is where we step in to help you take on that to-do list. An annual AC tune-up helps improve the life of your system and keeps it running at top efficiency. Spring is the perfect time to set up your tune-up so any concerns or AC repair that needs to be made can be handled before the hot summer months. The cost of a tune-up is a little investment into the lifecycle of your system. Think of it as giving your air conditioner an oil change.

We can't help you with your entire spring to-do list, but we can help you with all things involving your home comfort. We want to be sure you’re cool and comfortable all summer long. If you have any questions about spring cleaning, your system or need to set up your annual AC tune-up, please give us a call at 972-695-2264.
